Saïdia is a small town located in a region of agriculture and viticulture. The 20km following the river before it mixes with the sea form the border between Morocco and Algeria, which strategically served Sultan Hassan 1st who built a Kasbah at the end of the 19th century.
Nowadays, the city is a pretty seaside resort with one of the most beautiful and long beaches in Morocco, lined with mimosas and eucalyptus, hence its nickname: Blue Pearl.
Considered one of the most popular attractions, it is located here, modern hotels overlooking the beach, and quickly full in summer. In summer, around July and August, the beach festival is held once a year, making it one of the most frequented beaches at this time by various tourists from various parts of Morocco to attend an original program with music and events.
Sixty km away from Saïdia, There is Oujda, its geography has been decisive in the way Oujda has been shaped. The main shops, banks and several breweries are located around the Place du 16 août 1953, with its municipal clock. The medina is still partially surrounded by its ramparts, but is smaller than that of Marrakech or Fez and therefore easily explored, moreover there is little risk of getting lost. There are several shops and souks on a large road crossing the medina from West to East and which ends in Bab Sidi Abdel Ouahab, the street in question is El Mazouni Street. Here you will find different types of textiles, caftan velvets and several weaving materials in kissaria, grouping shops and arcades. Also know that the living point of the city is at Souk El Ma (water market) and Souk Attarine where you will find trees and fountains.
