Ifrane is a small town founded in 1929, which can be considered European rather than Moroccan given its climate. It is cool even in summer, and it snows from December to March in general. You can see the King’s holiday residence as you go down the valley.
The city has grown in size thanks in part to its Al Akhawayn University presented by King Hassan 2 in 1995.
Ifrane offers different destinations from its city, different spots such as waterfalls (Cascades des vierges), a cedar forest including the 900-year-old Gouraud cedar, caves and Koubbas to the Zaouia d’Ifrane and beautiful mountains
