This three-quarter day journey takes us into the Atlas Mountains to see a vast array of vegetation, coloured rock cliffs, mountain streams, Berber villages, and local mountain people. The local souks at Tahanaout and Asni (which take place on Tuesdays and Satudays) are a wonderful opportunity to photograph colourful and traditional rural markets, which are bustling with activity. We continue our trip through to Ouirgane, with its fabulous hillside views overlooking local villages where we may stop for lunch (not included). From this area, you may mule trek through scenic countryside and remote villages, hike through similarly beautiful terrain, or ride horses from the stables at La Roseraie (related costs not included). You may wish to visit the nearby gravesite and former home of Rabbi Ben Diouane, a Jewish saint revered around the world for his ability to cure blindness.
